6 Ways to Clear the Clutter

How many of us have been putting in extra time into cleaning out the clutter to our homes, our offices, and even our social media platforms? I mean, with working from home and not being able to socialize as much, what else can we do. And even having to work from home and if you have kids, virtual schooling, there are still days where there may be a lot of clutter. Maybe because you're too tired or just don't have the time.


Here are six ways to clear out the clutter and keep it that way.


  • Make a list. It's always good to work one room at a time. Start with the rooms that have the most traffic. Create a list of what needs to be done. For example; vacuuming, wiping down glass windows, etc.

  • Delete items. Look over the list and delete some items that you may not have to get to at that very moment. Maybe you don't have the supplies to clean it and that's ok. Leave it for another time.

  • Delegate items. You don't have to go at it alone. Get the children, spouse, and yes even animals. Put everyone to help out so that you can spend more family time together.

  • Tackle the small items. Maybe leave the small items for the kids to do while you work on the harder items. This not only cuts the time in half but also teaches responsibility.

  • Schedule items for later. If you find that you don't have the time or don't have the cleaning supplies, schedule it for a later time. It's ok not to have it all done in one day.

  • Plan how to tackle the tasks. Maybe call in some friends and have a pizza cleaning out party. Run to the hardware store earlier in the day or the day before to get the cleaning supplies you need. When you have a plan it comes to fruition.
