...for you non-morning people :)
I was never a morning person until I had kids. Now, I cannot seem to stop my brain from waking up early in the mornings, even on weekends. So, I decided to create a morning routine to get me out of the slump. For you non-morning people, this can help you as well. You are Welcome! Here are 6 things you can do to make your mornings brighter.
Breathe. Once you wake up and sit up straight, take 10 deep breaths. Inhale and Exhale. You will feel so much better and less stressful when you make this a habit, even throughout the day.
Hydrate. Do not head straight to caffeine. Instead, drink room temperature water and add lemon to cleanse your system.
Meditate/Pray. Starting your morning with gratitude makes you appreciate life more. Meditate with calm music. Give thanks for just being alive.
Affirm. When you decree great things for your life, you are establishing a foundation. Speak positive words that will motivate you throughout the day. One of my favorite affirmations is, "Everything that is happening now is happening for my ultimate good".
Write. A friend of mine states, "If it's not written, it's not done". In other words, if you are not writing your goals and the steps it will take to reach them than it will never happen. Grab a journal and start writing your ideas, dreams, and accomplishments.
