10 Things That Are Causing You Stress

As if seeing the dishes pile up in the sink, the children screaming everywhere, the animals tearing up the tissue paper all over the house, having to now create a virtual school system, and work from home full time during this pandemic is not enough. This would drive anyone totally out of character.

Here are ten things that are causing stress over and above this pandemic.

  • Having deadlines. No one likes deadlines. It causes anxiety and a lot of stress, especially during a pandemic where there is a lot of chaos.

  • To-do list. Some of us have more than one. We have very little time and too much to do. Some tasks that linger on for a long time causes a lot of stress.

  • Tasks you shouldn't be doing. It's ok to say No. If you find that you cannot complete something, just say no.

  • Multitasking. Breaking news: we are not designed to focus on more than one thing. It doesn't exist. Stop trying to do it all. This causes burnout.

  • Messy. Having clutter all-around can cause anxiety. The stress of not having the time to declutter can cause a lot of health issues.

  • Procrastination. You have a huge project that you have been looking to complete but you've been putting it off because it's too much. The more you procrastinate the bigger the project.

  • Interruptions. I don't know about you, but I dislike last-minute projects. This is one thing that causes me stress.

  • Anxiety. You need to get to the root cause of what's causing panic attacks and anxiety. Once you get to the root, you can focus on how to avoid it.

  • Chattiness. Ever have those people around that love to talk? Especially when you are busy and don't have the time. There are kinder ways to brush them away.

  • Being late. I know a lot of people who are not good with time management. This causes them a lot of stress of not being on time. This is something that needs to be learned.
